Downloading the Zip File from a Web Page

After you click the link to the zipped file, a dialog box should appear, asking: "Would you like to open the file of save it to your computer?"  Assuming you want to download the file for later use, Select Save, and then browse to the folder on the the computer you wish to store the file.

Opening a Zipped File in Windows XP

Using Windows Explorer or My Computer, double click the zipped folder that you saved from your download. Then in the new window that appears, from the left frame under Folder Tasks, select Extract all files. This will open the Compress (zipped) Folders Extraction wizard. Then follow the Wizard dialog.

Opening a Zipped file with Other Utilities in Windows

A number of programs exist to open zipped files, such as WinZip. Often, if you select the zipped file from Windows Explorer or My Computer, and right click your mouse, an option will appear that you can select to unzip the file, if you have WinZip or other such programs.

Using MacZip for Apple Macintosh computers

On a Macintosh, you can find MacZip by selecting the Utilities tab > MacZip. If you don't find MacZip in the Utilities folder, it may still be installed on you computer. Choose Find File, Sherlock, or Sherlock 2 under the Apple menu and search for "MacZip". If the software is installed on your computer, an icon for the program will appear in the window when the search finishes. Double click the icon to start the program. Leaving the MacZip application closed, select the file you want to unzip and drag it over the MacZip application. Release the mouse button when the application becomes highlighted. MacZip will automatically launch and unzip the file saving the result on the desktop.
