Internet Privacy Statement for Attendees

Each Healthcare Web Summit event is committed to providing you with a quality on-line conference in which your Internet privacy is protected. The following is our policy regarding user internet privacy.

Collection of personal information

Upon registration, attendees are asked for information including the following: Name, Organization, Address, city, state/province, country, zip, Phone, Fax , email address, username and password you would like to use, , and payment information including any sponsoring organization code or credit card information if applicable.

All payment information is moved to another computer not connected to the internet and removed from the Internet connected computer which processed the original transaction. While on the Internet computer, all information is kept in a secured area.

E-Mail Messages from the Summit

Your Summit attendance includes receipt of e-newsletters from the Summit regarding Summit activities and industry news before, during and for a time period after the conference. You may also receive e-mail during and immediately after the conference from use by attendees and exhibitors of the the Summit networking facilities as described below.

Limitation on use of collected information

Each Healthcare Web Summit event will not sell or exchange attendees' registered e-mail addresses to any other party or organization without the explicit permission of the user, nor will it supplement this information with information provided by 3rd party providers. The Summit may occasionally distribute regular (snail) mail, telephone or fax information to Summit partners for prior arranged distribution of health care management related information.

Summit networking facilities are used at the option of Summit attendees. All summit exhibitors and attendees have access to the networking facilities during and immediately after the conference. All Summit attendees are registered in the Summit e-mail networking facility database. However, the Summit e-mail networking facilities have been developed to conceal the actual e-mail address of the recipient from the sender. Only the recipient name, organization and state appears to the sender using the facility. It is then up to the recipient if they wish to respond and reveal their e-mail address in doing so. The summit forums will reveal the e-mail address of the party posting the message. Respondents to the forum will send private e-mail messages to the posting party that reveal their e-mail address.

Update/delete/deactivate E-Mail Services

Attendees can request changes to e-mail services delivered by the Summit, including requests to receive no e-mail services. Members can also request to have their email address eliminated from the Summit database altogether by contacting the Summit at any time. However, once the E-Mail address is deleted, the attendee loses access to valuable information assets delivered via E-mail.
