The confluence and complexities of new information technology and ongoing health reform implementation and transformation initiatives continue to place predictive modeling topics at the forefront of healthcare for the remainder of this decade. In this environment, innovative research and applications involving predictive analytics are essential for healthcare organizations as they move forward.

The Seventh Annual Predictive Modeling Web Summit features a 90 minute webinar with three national experts that offer innovative approaches, initiatives and research addressing the application of predictive analytics to key facets in the delivery of healthcare in this transformative era.

Topics addressed include: (1) predictive analytics research into evaluation of provider efficiency in order to advance techniques for value based provider payments; (2) ways hospitals have used analytics for staffing optimization; and (3) predictive analytics applied to users of a health behavior change program in order to predict future engagement.

The webinar opens with Milliman's Rong Yi, PhD, presenting research in how risk adjustment can be used to help evaluate how efficiently providers are in managing episodes of care, as an approach for purchasers to identify providers and provider networks that practice cost-effective care. Actian's Lance Speck will then highlight ways hospitals have used analytics for staff optimization to achieve cost savings, shorter wait times, improved patient care, lower nurse turnover and higher productivity, and will provide real-world advice on ways healthcare organizations can kickstart their analytics programs to improve their staffing models. Finally, DPS Health's Adam Kaufman shares results from a modified conditional hazard model to assess demographic and application usage patterns involved with a digital behavior change intervention, in which results were used to predict future engagement of current application users as well as guide future product development.

The event also includes two on-demand sessions, with expert faculty addressing analytics applied to Value Based Insurance Design; as well as analytics and data sharing. The sessions will explore (A) how to optimize VBID by identifying and targeting applicable patient populations, and available techniques that can be combined with targeting and benefit design to maximize adherence; and (B) the best approaches to using patient data analytics to improve care and share it among various healthcare constituencies, while addressing the challenges of sharing data and aligning incentives within this environment and provide a blueprint for an integrated, virtual sharing of data approach in this emerging new world.

Position your organization for 2015 and beyond in the healthcare predictive analytics landscape. Join us for the Seventh Annual Predictive Modeling Web Summit on Wednesday June 4th 2014, and participate in the live ninety-minute national webinar, additional on-demand faculty sessions, predictive modeling e-poll and more, featuring national experts providing key insights, innovate approaches, strategic recommendations, actionable intelligence and more on these critical topics.
