Peter Kongstvedt, M.D. Principal, P. R. Kongstvedt Company, LLC advises health care companies and executives on strategy, operations and effective decision making to enhance corporate, institutional, and executive success. Peter is the editor and primary author of three seminal works on managed care: The Managed Health Care Handbook; The Essentials of Managed Health Care; and Managed Care: What It Is and How it Works. He also co-authored Best Practices in Medical Management with David Plocher, M.D. Peter began his career by practicing general internal medicine and then launched a successful career as an executive in the managed health care industry, before becoming a direct-admit partner at Ernst & Young LLP, and continued his consulting career with global firms such as CapGemini and Accenture until 2008 when he formed the P.R. Kongstvedt Company, LLC.. 
   

Robert L. Scavo, President, Core Administration Solutions, TriZetto is overall responsible for product management of TriZetto’s overall core administration suite of solutions, including the Facets®, QNXT™ and FACTS product lines. In this role, Rob manages all aspects of the product lifecycle and is responsible for each product’s P&L. Previously; he was senior vice president and chief information officer of TriZetto’s Hosting Services unit. He also was responsible for providing corporate IT services to TriZetto’s 1,500-plus employees across nine locations. Scavo has significant payer business operations and management experience and, during his 19-year career in IT and managed healthcare, has led some of the country’s largest system implementations. Before joining TriZetto in 1997, Scavo worked for PacifiCare Health Systems (now owned by WellPoint, Inc.), one of the nation’s largest managed care companies. He previously spent seven years in the Health Services group of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), helping clients define and implement IT strategies. Scavo graduated with honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder.    

Sandy Lutz, Managing Director, Health Research Institute, PricewaterhouseCoopers leads national and global thought leadership and research initiatives for the firm and clients. HRI is a dedicated research group that provides new intelligence, perspective, and analysis on major health-related business issues. Based in Dallas , Sandy speaks extensively on healthcare trends and the future of healthcare. She also consults with healthcare systems, corporations, private equity funds, trade associations, policy groups, and health plans on strategic planning, trends, forecasting, and research initiatives.  Prior to joining PwC, she was a healthcare equity analyst for an investment bank and the Dallas bureau chief for Modern Healthcare. Ms. Lutz has written four books on the business of healthcare.

Vince Kuraitis, JD, MBA,  Principal; Better Health Technologies has 20+ years health care experience in multiple roles: President, VP Corporate Development, VP operations, management consultant, and marketing executive. His consulting and work projects span 100+ different health care organizations, including hospitals, physician groups, medical devices, pharma, health plans, disease management, e-Health, IT, and others. Since 1997 Vince has worked as founder and Principal of Better Health Technologies, LLC (www.bhtinfo.com), a strategy and business development consulting company. BHT creates value for patients and shareholders by leveraging technology, business models and partnerships in areas relating to e-health and chronic disease management. 

Tine Hansen-Turton, MGA, Executive Director. Convenient Care Association, has over ten years of experience in executive management in the health care field and led a non-profit corporation supporting nurse-managed health care. T Tine publishes in many peer-review professional journals and is a regular presenter at local, state and national health care conferences. Tine received her BA from Slippery Rock University and her Master’s in Government Administration from University of Pennsylvania Fels Institute. She is a 2007 Juris Doctor candidate from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Tine is the first director of the CCA and has extensive experience in growing an association from infancy to national and international magnitude. 

Dmitriy Kruglyak, CEO, Trusted.MD Network, was among the first people to recognize and analyze the impact of social media on health and wellness. He speaks, writes and consults to health and wellness enterprises on advanced Internet opportunities, strategies and tactics. This includes search engines, social media and other forms of online performance marketing. Dmitriy runs Trusted.MD Network (http://trusted.md), dedicated to empowering trust-based relationships between healthcare consumers, professionals and organizations. As a milestone to that vision, Trusted.MD Network has already become the world’s largest community of independent health bloggers. He also created Healthcare Blogging Summit (http://trusted.md/conference), the first forum devoted to examining the impact of the new media on consumer health and healthcare industry, convened three times in 2006 and 2007.

Jeffrey C. Greene, President and CEO, MedEncentive, LLC, co-founded and served as President/CEO of CompONE Services, Ltd. from 1987 until 2004, at which time MedEncentive was spun-off as a free-standing company. Under his leadership, CompONE grew to become one of the nation’s leading providers of practice management, patient financial services, and technology services. Prior to CompONE, Jeff held management positions with Procter & Gamble, Shaklee Corporation and Professional Office Management. Jeff is a Certified Executive through the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Jeff holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma where he attended on an athletic scholarship. Jeff served as a reserve officer in the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers for 14 years. 

William DeMarco, DeMarco and Associates, has more than 20 years experience in marketing to unions, public employers and private industry in the competitive HMO environment of Minneapolis-St. Paul. He has assisted numerous HMOs, IPAs, PSOs and medical groups in developing better relations with buyers of health care. His broad national exposure to employers' needs, combined with his hands-on experience in developing products and strategies, offers clients an up-to-date perspective on what purchasers want in health care today. Mr. DeMarco is a nationally recognized speaker on the areas of organizational strategy formation, physician capitation and physician-owned health plans. He frequently addresses such organizations as the National Managed Health Care Congress, the Medical Group Management Association, as well as various private forums of providers and employers.
