  • Sandy Lutz, Director, Health Research Institute, PricewaterhouseCoopers in her presentation Beyond the Sound Bite: A review of Presidential Candidates' proposals for Health Reform, covers the details and impact of the proposed reforms being advanced by the major candidates.
  • Alexander (Sander) Domaszewicz, Principal and Senior Consultant, Mercer Health & Benefits Services, details the  Employer Benefit Trends and Issues for 2008: A discussion of employer benefit perspectives, strategies,  plan design, cost sharing and more for the coming year
  • In addition to a thorough discussion of their presentations, the Webinar will include ample time for audience questions and answers.
  • Attendees will receive dial-in instructions shortly before the event, and have two options to view the companion presentations: they can logon to view the live webinar online, or simply link to download and view or print the presentation offline.

Podcasts

Peter R. Kongstvedt, M.D., F.A.C.P., Senior Executive, Accenture, Health and Life Sciences Consulting Services - is a senior executive with Accenture in their Reston, VA office. He has fifteen years of consulting experience and fifteen years of operational experience at the senior-most levels of health plans, including managed care, health insurance, and Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. In addition to his industry experience, Dr. Kongstvedt’s primary client focus is in strategy. He has also created and led industry benchmarking studies of financial and operational metrics in high performing health plans, worked in medical management, and keeps a regular focus on trends and issues in the marketplace. 
   

Sandy Lutz, Director, Health Research Institute, PricewaterhouseCoopers - Sandy Lutz is director of the Health Research Institute (HRI) of PricewaterhouseCoopers. As director, Ms. Lutz leads national and global thought leadership and research initiatives for the firm and clients.  HRI is a dedicated research group that provides new intelligence, perspective, and analysis on major health-related business issues. Based in Dallas , Sandy speaks extensively on healthcare trends and the future of healthcare. She also consults with healthcare systems, corporations, private equity funds, trade associations, policy groups, and health plans on strategic planning, trends, forecasting, and research initiatives.  Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, she was a healthcare equity analyst for an investment bank and the Dallas bureau chief for Modern Healthcare, a weekly business magazine. Ms. Lutz has written four books on the business of healthcare.

Alexander (Sander) Domaszewicz, National Consumerism Practice Leader, Mercer - Sander is Mercer’s National Practice Leader for Consumerism within the Health Care & Group Benefits business, specializing in emerging benefits and areas where technology intersects with human resources, benefits, and health care. Areas of focus include health care strategy, consumer directed health care, health and benefits decision support tools, web health resources, HR portals and online benefits. Sander’s prior experience includes project management in the Health & Group Benefits Delivery Services group at Hewitt Associates for flexible benefits administration outsourcing. Sander holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a certificate in Human Resources Management from Cornell.

David Hammer, Vice President - Revenue Cycle Solutions, McKesson Provider Technologies - Mr. Hammer is a Vice President in McKesson's Revenue Cycle Solutions group. In his more than 22 years of industry experience, Mr. Hammer has held a variety of positions with leading health systems, Big-4 consulting firms, I. T. vendors, and revenue cycle outsourcing companies. Mr. Hammer received an MBA in Management and an MHS in Health Care Administration from the University of Florida in 1987. He also received a BBA in Accounting with a minor in Information Systems (Magna cum Laude) from the University of North Florida in 1985. Mr. Hammer is certified by HFMA as a Fellow (FHFMA) and as a Certified Healthcare Finance Professional (CHFP). He has been named an HFMA Distinguished Speaker for six consecutive years, and is a 2007 recipient of HFMA's Medal of Honor service award.
   
Vince Kuraitis, JD, MBA,  Principal; Better Health Technologies has 20+ years health care experience in multiple roles: President, VP Corporate Development, VP operations, management consultant, and marketing executive. His consulting and work projects span 100+ different health care organizations, including hospitals, physician groups, medical devices, pharma, health plans, disease management, e-Health, IT, and others. Since 1997 Vince has worked as founder and Principal of Better Health Technologies, LLC (www.bhtinfo.com), a strategy and business development consulting company. William R Boyles; Editor and Publisher; Consumer Driven Market Report  - is the Editor & Publisher of Consumer Driven Market Report, an independent newsletter financed by subscriptions, and Health Market Survey, a subscription newsletter for health insurance leadership, financial analysts, CFOs, actuaries and marketing consultants.
