ABSTRACT
Business process management (BPM) and the right BPM tools can help health plan administrators automate workflow enterprise wide. Adjudicating healthcare claims doesn’t have to be a labor-intensive process and customizing a BPM tool doesn’t have to involve extensive reprogramming. It’s now possible for system users to define workflows so they can have a 360-degree, real-time view of their business processes with the help of robust business intelligence and process analysis tools - tools that are enterprise solutions because they can integrate claims administration systems with an organization’s other business systems.
As a result, health plans can automate claims resolution, use electronic claims and inventory reports, increase staff productivity, closely monitor claim processing, and improve customer service.
