The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services (CMS) recently proposed a series of new marketing and sales standards
for Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug plans. It's likely these new rules
will be ready for implementation for the upcoming open enrollment period. This
means significant new compliance challenges and pressure to rethink approaches
to sales and marketing.

Tom Bixby, Partner, Neal Gerber

Tom Bixby is a partner in Neal Gerber Eisenberg's Health Law Practice Group. Tom counsels health insurers, HMOs, and other health plans on issues such as wellness programs, Medicare Advantage and Part D, health information, and consumer-directed health plan vehicles, including flexible spending, health reimbursement, and health savings accounts. He has significant experience dealing with the application of Federal regulations, including Medicare Parts C and D and the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Transactions Rules, to complex circumstances.
