Audioconference and Audio Recording Support |
Click here to find out what time your event starts in your time zone.
When you register for a Healthcare Web Summit event, you should receive an e-mail confirming your registration within a business day. Please be sure to contact the Healthcare Web Summit offices if you have registered, and did not receive a confirmation within a business day that indicates the event(s) you wish to attend.
You will subsequently receive e-mail instructions one to two business days before each audioconference event that includes your dial-in instructions (including the phone number to call, passcode to enter, and the time of the call) and any links for downloading companion presentations to the audioconference. Be sure to contact the Healthcare Web Summit offices immediately if you have not received this email towards the end of the day before the event.
Some audioconferences also offer a webinar feature. In such cases, you can choose to still use the standard link provided in the e-mail to download the presentation ahead of time, or you can elect to view the webinar portion live (or both). Any applicable webinar instructions would also be included in the e-mail. Please note there may be various compatibility and minimum requirements for your computer to view a webinar live. Information or links regarding these requirements would also be included in the e-mail.
Audioconference and Podcast recordings are often available in an applicable Healthcare Web Summit CD-ROM. Such CD-ROMs are distributed to registrants who specifically order the CD-ROM, either additionally to, or instead of, attending the live event. Playing back such audioconference recordings should just require either clicking the link provided in the Audioconference menu, or opening the Audioconference sound file from your media player.
When you click the Audioconference link from the CD menu, adobe acrobat should display a launch message, indicating the media player on your computer is going to be activated to listen to the file. You should click the “Open” button and then your media player will start audio file. However, there might be several reasons why the audio file might not by successfully played. These could include that you do not have a media player, or that you do not have the minimum system requirements to run the media player. You will need to have a media player that can play Windows Media Audio files, such as the current Windows Media Player.
If your Windows Media Player or other compatible media player does not have the current components necessary to run the file, the Media Player should automatically download them assuming you are connected to the Internet at the time.
You
can get information about the Windows Media Player at: http://windowsmedia.com/mg/gettingstarted/home.asp
You can download the current Windows Media Player for free at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/9series/player.aspx
You
can download Real Player for free at:

Minimum system requirements for the Windows Media Player are indicated in the above Microsoft web site. Remember, you will also need speakers connected to your system. Should you have difficulty hearing the audio file, you should open your system’s volume control, and increase the volume.
