Overview

ACOs are like the weather – everyone is talking about them, but action on them often remains hazy.

“ACOs: A California Progress Report,” has been constructed to take the dialogue about accountable care organizations to the next level. On Friday March 18, it will provide information on what has been accomplished to date in building ACOs in the state, how they will function and what potential roadblocks or difficulties may be on the horizon.

Aside from discussing ACOs in real-time, this webinar will also take a glimpse at their future. Will the banding of medical groups together to form effective ACOs inadvertently lead to monopoly pricing? Will high-paid specialists crucial to the operational success of ACOs (such as orthopedic surgeons) resist buy-in? Answers to such questions will be provided here.
